Lucie Dickenson – “How Rubber Ducks Can Inspire a World”

On January 10, 1992, a storm at sea in the Pacific caused a freighter traveling from China to America to dump into the waters 28,800 bath toys. What can this event of “rubber ducks overboard” teach us about life, connection, and inspiration? Author of The Anxious Hippie, Lucie Dickenson will have you thinking, cheering, and laughing when she goes deep and talks about her take on this incredible event.

Lucie Dickenson is a seeker of knowledge, that holds smiles and laughter up as true medicine. After years of crippling anxiety, OCD, allergies, psoriasis, chemical sensitivities and postpartum issues, she found that her mindset was at the core of all her issues. To truly heal and set herself free she needed an entirely new perspective on life. Once Lucie was able to look at life with a positive outlook, and a little humor, she was able to call on her inner strength, kick some ass, and get better.

Maureen Spataro – “The Single Most Important Ingredient”

The single most important ingredient to moving past trauma and adversity is willingness.  When you are in the depths of despair, words like strength, courage, resilience, and hope are impossible to relate to.  The pain you are experiencing blocks your ability to see those traits within yourself; traits that exist in all of us.  But willingness?  When someone says they are willing, they are saying “I will try”.  And each step taken slowly unlocks the strength, courage, resilience and hope we possess.  Our willingness to “put me first”, do the work required to release the pain we carry, and clear that space within for all the good that awaits to land is the groundwork we lay in order to build the life we love. Maureen Spataro will share how this most important trait will change your world and remind you who you truly are.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, Maureen is first and foremost the proud mom of her daughter Kayla, a Captain in the U.S. Army JAG Corp.  A surthriver of multiple sexual and domestic violence traumas which began at the age of 6, Maureen released her first book in April of 2020, Press Pause: The Breakdown That Rebuilt My Life & Changed a Family Legacy.  In addition, Maureen has shared her message of surthrival and hope as a speaker at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, NJ, Long Branch High School and the Attachment and Trauma Network Conference in Washington DC.  As a guest on several podcasts and shows including Sonstein Sundays and Women in the Loop on iHeart Radio, Wheelhouse, B*Inspired, and This Is It TV, Maureen’s goal is to share what it took for her to go from “emotional and internal deafness” to creating a life she loves.
