Jersey Shore Arts Center is joining in the summer long celebration by hosting events that educate and illustrate the rich history of Ocean Grove. While attending these events, you'll also get a chance to see the Old Neptune High School. A building, built in 1897, recognized at the 1908 World's Fair as an "Architectural Splendor". The Ocean Grove Historic Preservation Society took ownership of the building and created the local cultural center it is today.
This event is located in the 3rd Floor Herbst Theater. Sponsored by the Ocean Grove Homeowners and Ocean Grove Historical Society. Refreshments served afterwards in the 3rd Floor Cafe. This is a free event - donations are welcome for St. Paul's Food Pantry.
Dr. Kevin Newburg, Assistant Professor in the History of Christianity at Drew University, speaker.
